THE DETAILS

What's Included

Professional Photographers

Not booth attendants. Trained portrait photographers who shoot every guest to a consistent formula — same framing, same exposure, polished output at scale.

Full Studio Lighting On-Site

We bring complete studio lighting to whatever environment your event is in — historic venues, tarmacs, barns, ballrooms. Ambient lighting does not limit the shot.

Formulaic Consistency at Scale

Every guest receives a portrait shot the same way. Unlike a candid event photographer, the format scales across 100+ guests without quality drift.

Works With Any Pre-Existing Scene

Historic venues, live animals, vehicles, aircraft, seasonal vignettes, themed rooms. If your event has a scene, we make it the backdrop.

Instant Digital Delivery

Guests receive their portrait via SMS or QR code within seconds — same delivery infrastructure as our photo booths.

Corporate Branding on Every Photo

Event logo, sponsor marks, and custom design applied to every digital and printed image. Branded prints fulfilled post-event.

Same Crew, Same Formula

Picstrips' photo-booth crew and flow discipline applied to on-location work. Familiar quality, familiar speed, whatever the venue.

Turnkey Setup

We handle photography, lighting, delivery, and post-event fulfillment. You secure the scene; we capture it.

Picstrips has worked more than 1,000 Dallas–Fort Worth events since 1991. DFW weekends book fast — especially May through December.

GOT QUESTIONS?

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a regular photo booth?

A regular photo booth brings the backdrop — green screen, custom-printed banner, themed set — and photographs guests in front of it. The On-Location Photo Booth flips that — your venue, your live animal, your themed scene, your aircraft is the backdrop. We bring the photographers, full studio lighting, and delivery infrastructure to that scene. Same formula, same quality, no backdrop.

How is this different from hiring an event photographer?

An event photographer typically shoots candid work — mingling, moments, atmosphere. The On-Location Photo Booth shoots portraits to a consistent formula. Every guest is posed and framed the same way, lit the same way, and delivered the same way as our photo booth output. It scales across 100+ guests without the quality drift you get when a single photographer is also chasing candids.

Can you work in any lighting situation?

Yes. We bring full studio lighting on-site — even in daylight environments. Our F-16 tarmac shoots required studio lighting to balance against open-sky exposure. Historic venues with dim ambient light get lit to portrait standard. The lighting setup is part of the service, not an add-on.

What kind of locations have you done this at?

Historic venues like the Bush Presidential Library Oval Office, aviation environments including F-16 fighter jets, live-animal setups including Texas longhorns, holiday and seasonal vignettes including elaborate Christmas scenes, themed venue rooms, museum exhibits, and awards ceremony stages. If the venue allows photography, we can work in it.

Can you work with live animals, historic venues, or vehicles?

Yes — those are some of our most common setups. We coordinate safety protocols with animal handlers, work within preservation guidelines at historic venues, and adapt setup time for vehicle and aircraft environments. Tell us about the scene in the quote request and we will confirm logistics before the event.

What do guests receive?

The same delivery as our photo booths — instant digital via SMS or QR code within seconds of capture, plus branded prints fulfilled post-event. Every image includes your event branding, logos, and design applied to digital and print output.

How fast can you move through guests?

Target throughput depends on the complexity of the scene. In a controlled setup like a vignette or themed room, expect roughly 60-75 portraits per hour. In more complex environments (live animals, vehicle access, restricted venues), throughput is lower but still scales across a full event. We scope expected speed in the quote.

Do we need to arrange anything with our venue in advance?

We coordinate directly with venue coordinators on power access, setup windows, floor protection, and any restrictions. For restricted venues — presidential libraries, government buildings, museums — some permits and approvals need to go through the venue or your event producer. Loop us in early and we will handle the logistics layer.

Space, power, and setup requirements?

We typically need a 10' x 10' working area around the scene for studio lighting and photographer positioning, plus a standard power outlet. Tight or restricted spaces are workable with advance scouting — send photos or a site plan and we will confirm what fits.

Is the photographer experienced with portrait formulas, or candid event work?

Every photographer on our On-Location crew is trained in the photo-booth portrait formula — consistent framing, consistent lighting, consistent output across every guest. We chose this crew specifically because it is what makes the format scale. Candid event photography is a different discipline.

How is this priced vs a regular photo booth?

The On-Location Photo Booth is priced as a premium service — professional photographers, full studio lighting on-site, often complex venue coordination, and same delivery infrastructure as our booths. Pricing is event-specific based on duration, venue complexity, crew size, and branding. Use the quote form to request a tailored proposal.

Do you handle permit or access requirements at restricted venues?

For standard venues we handle setup and insurance. For restricted venues — presidential libraries, government properties, museums with photography policies — the client's event producer typically owns permit acquisition, and we coordinate directly with whoever grants access. Loop us in during venue booking and we can advise what our crew needs.
